Room Divider of the Week - The Folding Door

This week’s close up on room dividers focuses on the PVC Folding Door.
Folding doors are great for a quick fix to add privacy to a room or partition off areas in your home. They come in many different styles and can be relatively affordable as well.

This style, featured at StacksAndStacks.com is an attractive option for closing a doorway. It is constructed from PVC and works on rolling gliders. This one is really nice because you can have it open either way and it comes with a magnetic strip so it will stay closed. You can even put two together to make for a really long entryway or doorway.
These doors are great for several situations. First, if you are having a get together or a party and you’d like to keep guests from entering a part of the house that has no door, this folding door is a great option! You don’t have to worry about wandering guests and you won’t have to worry about any unattractive attempts to block the area off.
Another great use is to give guests privacy in an area that has no door. They can easily pull the divider closed at night when they are sleeping and during the day it can be opened to let the area become a common room again.
Some folding doors come in glass, PVC and even paper and fabric. Most are in neutral colors such as white, oak and fruitwood.
The second option here is similar but with a different style. This one comes in PVC or glass. The nice thing about it is that light can still come through, yet the privacy factor is still there. It also has the dual gilder roller system and a magnetic closure. These room dividers are great for a quick fix and a classy look – rather than my favorite shower curtain and string approach.
